Jingsh Law Firm, a large-scale law firm in China with nearly ten thousand lawyers, recently brought 30 equity partners for official exchanges in Malaysia. With over 1000 lawyers in its Beijing headquarters alone, it represents a substantial and somewhat complex presence for the legal community in Malaysia. The purpose of this visit is to deepen mutual understanding of each other's legal systems, fostering collaboration and consensus.

Accompanied by Gan & Zul's Senior Partner Gan Ping Sieu and Managing Partner Dato' Simon Lim Seng Chai, the delegation from Jingsh Law Firm delved into the Malaysian Bar Council to gain insights into the country's legal system. During the discussions, the two sides explored topics such as legal practices, regulatory differences, contributing to a profound understanding and mutual agreement. On another note, the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) became a focal point of the visit. Formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), AIAC is a non-profit, non-governmental international arbitration institution. During this visit, the meeting showcased AIAC's extensive developmental history, a professional team, and its evolving infrastructure and arbitration rules. This opened up more possibilities for cooperation between China and Malaysia in the field of arbitration.

Towards the end of the exchange, the partners from Jingsh Law Firm engaged in in-depth discussions with Gan & Zul's partners, with a focus on the legal differences between Malaysia and China. This meaningful meeting not only facilitated friendly exchanges between lawyers from both countries but also laid a robust foundation for future collaborations.
